SKINCARE 101
The first thing you need to know about skincare routines is that 'skincare is the beginning of self love !'.
for you to maintain a skin care routine lifestyle you have to come to terms with the unconditional love for yourself that you possess within your soul.you must understand that you have a duty to yourself before anyone or anything else. You will face challenges along your journey to get the perfect body that you dream of but you must remember that you are the most important person in your life! You will have to spend extra time in the bathroom, at the gym, probably gulp egg yolks [yuck!], delay your date some minutes more, just to get you what you desire for yourself. But you know what? all that UNCONDITIONAL LOVE? its all worth it in the end because you're gonna end up with the skin and body that all your friends, frenemies and enemies have been dreaming about. YES!, know that because the end justifies the means!.
Do you know the big difference between a dream and reality? its the fact that everything seems so easy in dreams, that is why people keep dreaming in the first place. You have to understand that good things rarely come with ease. Only when you realize the best way to make your dreams become reality is by living and working towards them will you then be able to start achieving your goals from a perfect viewpoint .
Everyone has different skin — and therefore different skin issues, concerns, goals, etc. — there are certain skin-routine rules that generally apply across the board. These are otherwise known as the basics, and we consulted a slew of dermatologists to confirm exactly what they are and share skin-care tips that apply to all of us, novices and experts alike. If you're unsure about how to put together a skin-care routine (no judgment here), or you're looking to brush up on the basics, here is your expert-backed beginner's guide to skin care.
SKINCARE ROUTINES; BEST INGREDIENTS
You can reconnect with nature by incorporating one of its many wonders into your daily routine. Many of them come with a lot of benefits (like the power to soothe irritation and provide moisture, to name just a few), but there are a few things to consider.
Some earthly delights are more delightful for your hair and skin than others: "Just because an ingredient is botanical or all-natural doesn't necessarily mean it's beneficial.

ALOE;
The stuff you put on sunburns and scrapes is also good for your hair and scalp. And after years of growing in arid climates, aloe’s active compounds are at ideal levels. And the same compounds that calm skin (polysaccharide sugars) can also coat and hydrate hair and soothe tight, itchy scalps.
SHEABUTTER;
It takes 18 steps for a single shea nut to become shea butter at the Tungteiya Women’s Association in northern Ghana, which churns out at least 390 tons of the finished product each year. As Ghanaian women have known for generations, the dense butter makes for a rich, occlusive moisturizer. cosmetic chemists say it has fatty acids that restore the skin’s barrier and prevent water from escaping. For the same reason, cosmetic chemist Perry Romanowski suggests applying shea butter immediately after a moisturizing oil to lock in hydration. Experts recommend avoiding this rich ingredient on acne, as it’s likely to worsen breakouts.
TOMATOE;
These help in the contraction of skin cells and body tissues, more like an astringent it helps reduce pores on the skin especially the face. it is especially good for clearing black spots.
CARROT&TUMERIC;
Both are basically the same in terms of function. They contain anti-inflammatory properties to help the skin. They also contain vitamin C, especially carrots.
PAPAYA;
Contains an enzyme called Papain that acts as an exfoliator for the skin, it brightens skin and removes dead skin cells and just like lemon, carrots and the likes, It contains vitamin C and beta carotene which also helps with natural skin lightening.
CINNAMON;
Cinnamon contains anti-oxidant, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, this makes it a great ingridient for acne removal.
HONEY;
This is one of my favorite ingredients. not only does it make my tea sweeter, honey is great for moisturizing and hydrating the skin, it also aids removal of skin blemishes and scars. It is used even in hospitals to aid healing due to its many healing properties.
STRAWBERRY;
Dermatologists would highly recommend this, It contains folic acid which helps to lighten the skin, it is also very rich in vitamin C and anti-oxidants.

Knowing your skin is also very important a factor as much as these ingredients because of the way each skin type reacts to treatments in its own unique way especially depending on many other factors concerning your diet or lifestyle. However, regardless of your skin type you have to make it a habit to perform these skin rituals morning and night- CLEANSE, MOISTURIZE, PROTECT. These are the basic routines that you can start with to attain your desired skin glow goals.
Cleansing involves clearing dirt and oil from the face of the skin, it should be done twice daily. It is important to know that too much of anything is bad [over cleansing can lead to break outs] so twice a day is just right, also apply the 60 seconds rule while you're at this. Make sure to MOISTURIZE- This should be done after cleansing or bathing, at this point your skin would be hydrated. Moisturize your skin day and night. Most people think that they don't need to moisturize because they have oily skin however this is wrong, you just have to find the best moisturizer to suit your oily skin, Try something like the Becious Roots glow cream or Face cream ,
Use something that is not too oily with a low ph. Not moisturizing would lead to the skin drying up and develop break outs.
PROTECT your skin with a favorable sunscreen [spf], this will shield your skin from violent UV rays that can cause pigmentation and all sorts. It can be reapplied at least every 2-3 hours depending on how long you're staying in the sun.
Thus far I hope that I have been able to wet your appetite for more of The Beach, please make sure to leave any questions , opinions and ideas in the comment section, Thank you.
